:: Today's Quote ::

:: "To despair is to turn your back on God" ::
:: Mrs. Cuthbert ~ Anne of Green Gables ::

:: Our home is going through a dry spell of sorts. Times just are not going our way. I know that this too shall pass and that our trust is in the maker of heaven & earth and so we have nothing to fear, however it's hard not to feel down about the place we are in right now ::

:: I am SURE things will be better soon and the sun will shine again on our little family, but as of right now if I could ask you to pray. Pray these trials pass quickly and that we understand the full reason we have had to be challenged in this way ::

Sorry to hear you're going through some rough weather but it's been my experience (and I've had my fair share) that this is simply God calling your attention to something Wonderful that He's going to be doing for you in the near future!

"For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Shawna,
I'm so sorry you are going through hard times. Our family has been through several and I know first hand how tough it can be.
Pray lots and rely on God to carry you through this time and show you the sunshine on the other side.
You of all people are able to find the good side of the worst things so you must know that He must have some reason to let you go through this.
We will say a prayer for this to pass for you!

Shawna, My prayers are with you and your precious family! It seems that when you go through trials in life, not sure why at times, but thats when we need to focus on the Lord and know that there is a major overflow in the near future for us. I know that I don't know you, but from the sounds of it you are a strong faith-filled woman of God and just know that you bring so much joy and love to people through your blog and friendships. Much love in abundance, Elyshia

Sorry to hear that my friend. But I know you won't despair because you would never turn your back on God - you know where your strength comes from, as well as your joy. I will pray. And please, if there's anything I/we can do please let me know! Love you

I am reminded a lot of the verse right now that God will never leave us or forsake us. he is there with us always, through every trial and tear. And more importantly than that..He Reigns! Overall this, good, bad and ugly, he is in charge, and he is in control. I pray you can trust in that, as its a constant learning curve for me:)

Believing that this too shall pass and the rocky times will be a reminder of God's greatness when you reach the other side. Praying with you as you go through this.

Have been praying for your wee family and the other stuff as we have been away. Know that you are safe in the arms of Jesus, and if God is for you, who, then, can be against you.
