:: Anniversary Photoshoot ::

:: I just have a moment here, but I wanted to post a few of my favorite shots from our Anniversary photo shoot w/ Jamie Delaine ::

:: We had a fabulous time working with not one but TWO photographers...Kim Kalyn came over from Victoria to have a one on one session w/ Jamie and we were their models {I use that term very loosely!}. Anyway we had a great time and look at the fabulous photos to show for it! ::

:: Check more of them out here on Jamie's site -- I'm still waiting for Kim to post hers on her site -- Hint Hint Kim ;) ::

:: I'm at work today...really I am Mom! So I better jet so I can get back at it..Happy Monday Lovelies - I'll be back later to update the blog again today ::

:: Summertime - So FuN ::

:: I recently {finally} got a camera which if you remember was actually a Christmas gift from my parents. Yes, almost a whole year ago ::

:: I had my heart set on a certain camera and I was holding out for it to get down to a certain price...well that wasn't going to happen! So my girlfriend Lisa told me about this deal @ Costco.com in the States, that I just couldn't pass up! ::

:: This is my new baby ::

:: Plus I got an extra lens and a 2 mega bite card for an amazing deal -- all said + done it was $614.00 (that is for the whole camera, extra lens, card and shipping) :::: So that takes me to meeting up with my girlfriend Nickie. Nickie lives just outside Bellingham and if you know me, you know I'm down in Bellingham all the time...now don't ask me why it has taken me 6 years to catch up in person with Nickie, it's quite pathetic that we haven't made it more of a priority! ::

:: Nickie and I were friends throughout all of high school and had simply SO much fun together...So you can imagine what it was like to meet up again, just like old times and she is just as much fun {if not more fun!} than I remember! ::

:: Nickie is also my "mailbox pimp" see why we got together is because I shipped my camera to her address, what a great excuse to get together, drink some fabulous coffee, do some shopping and talk, talk, talk! Seriously I don't think we stopped talking the whole time! ::

:: Thanks Nick for the great visit & for showing me around Trader Joe's and your secret shopping places...my bank account won't be the same! ::

:: You are truly a life-long friend and for that I am so thankful! ::

:: I'm off to do some gardening as it seems like our weather here has taken a turn for Fall already...I'm sad to see Summer go, but oh how I LoVe Fall! ::

:: My day...yesterday ::

:: Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend a workshop on photography & photoshop at our church ::

:: I left the house at 8:50 am and didn't arrive home until almost 6:00 pm. It was a great day but boy did I miss my boys! Isn't it weird how we think "oh, it would be nice to have a whole day off " but then you get a whole day off and you wish you had your kids with you!?!?! ::

:: At any rate, I had a great day and thanks to my Dad for coming and taking on my fever ridden big boy and my screaching little boy and thanks to my Mom for showing up to my place to do laundry! Maybe I do have a laundry fairy after all! Oh and I mustn't forget to give mad props to my babe Paul for taking care of making a veggie filled dinner - yummo! ::

:: The workshop was taught by David duChemin a photographer that mainly shoots for humanitarian organizations like World Vision. If you are looking to learn the basics and have a good laugh at the same time, check out his website for his workshops and seminars. They are well worth the time (and I'm sure the cost as well!) ::

:: Today I'm making up a batch of jumbo chocolate cupcakes as place markers/gifts and doing Jamie Delaine's hair for her grad dinner tonight - I hope to get outside this morning and get my fill of vitamin D on my face...I've got blue sky above my house, how great it that? ::

:: Hope ya'll have a wonderful day and enjoy this day the Lord has made ::

:: Father's Day 2008 ::

:: For Paul's Father's Day celebration, I planned a Parisian Picnic @ Crescent Beach ::

:: When Paul and I were dating we went on a picnic together that consisted of french bread, tomatoes, specialty cheese, wine, strawberries & grapes all from Granville Island. Ahh, it was the best! ::

:: So I re-created it for him from our boys...I had bought two folding chairs as we need them for our day trips and packed the cooler and off we went to the beach for dinner and a walk ::

:: It was a great afternoon/evening, Paul and Jacob flew the kite, threw rocks into the water, Cole ate sand...all was well. Jacob loved eating strawberries and brie, geesh..what a life!?!?! ::

:: Paul just kept on saying this is the best, the absolute best. So I guess we did good. It was truly a fabulous afternoon and evening ::

:: Paul - you are a great man of God, an amazing role model to our boys and a superb husband and friend to me. With each year that passes I understand why God chose you for me...however at times my understanding may be foggy, most of the time it's only stress induced. Otherwise I am so grateful that you have also chose to do life with me -- From the bottom of all of our hearts, we adore and love you! ::

:: On Sunday after church we celebrated Father's Day with my dad and the whole family @ my parents place for pancakes & all the trimmings! We had a great time visiting with T&C who we don't get to see all that often due to the distance of traveling. Then after that we headed home and prepared a BBQ for Paul's Dad & Family. It was a very full, but fun day! ::

:: Happy Fathers Day Dad, you are SO loved! ::
:: Thanks to Mom for the pic...I didn't take my camera out once on Sunday! ::

:: Nature Shots ::

:: Random Shots of the blooming (in a good way) world -- I shot these while Jacob was busy playing with his bike ::
:: Hope you are enjoying this spring as much as I am --- Last year at this time I was caught up in packing up our townhouse, moving into my parents suite and then completely reno-ing this place...so I really didn't get to breath in Spring like I have this year. I adore Spring, almost as much as Fall ::

:: The above pic is of one of our two cherry blossom trees...some peoples have bloomed, ours won't for another couple weeks, I can be patient. I love when our street is in full bloom. It's stunning! ::

:: J + M = Victoria ::

:: My SIL Jennifer & her husband Michael asked me to come and take some 'official' family shots of them. I, the not-so-official photographer was honored by the opportunity and couldn't choose better subjects to photograph!::

:: Thanks M & J for allowing me to come into your home and boss you around for a few hours...I had a blast and hope you like some of the shots I got ::

:: I couldn't decide which ones were my fav's, so I decided to just post a whole schwack of 'em! ::

:: My Day Today ::

:: While the "Great Tree Take-down" was happening, I was at Amanda & Jordan's taking pictures of her still pregnant body (she's due on Thursday - that is the truth, no lie, I know she looks too good, but it's the truth. Deal with it!) ::
:: I wish I could have chosen a few key shots, but she was such a good subject and Baby Fro was very accommodating so I just had to post almost all of my favorites ::
:: The baby belly - I think this one is truly one of my fav's :::: Can you feel the love? :: :: Beautiful belly ::
:: Beautiful Amanda ::
:: Watch the baby move ::
:: Isn't it amazing!?! ::
:: What contentment ::
:: Isn't she fabulous!?!?! ::

:: Just waiting ::

:: This was taken in front of a red wall in her kitchen, it was a great place to shoot ::
:: I love the detail shots :: :: The reflection off her kitchen table ::
:: Her wedding ring set on the belly against the red wall ::
:: Almost cooked ::
:: Waiting... ::

:: Thanks Amanda & Jordan, I had a great time and Amanda you are amazingly beautiful. I still can't believe it's almost time! ::
:: Hope you enjoy your shots ::
