:: My very own Orange Beetle! ::

:: This is one of Jacob's 1st birthday gifts from my Auntie Terri. Paul got it all hooked up on a tree in our front yard and he loves it! I took these pics from inside the house, he was hanging in his swing while Paul was doing work in the driveway...he was completely content! ::

:: Bye-Bye Uncle & Auntie ::

:: Jordan and Lindsey left for Europe on Monday, so we met them at White Spot for lunch to wish them a fond farewell :: :: We miss you but sure hope you're having fun ::

:: Cultus Lake ::

:: This last weekend we spent all day Saturday & Sunday at Cultus Lake - it was beautiful! And a great way to spend a long weekend if you can't go away! :::: Paul & Jacob enjoying the water :: :: Shawn, Kristin & the kids came up for a few hours and enjoyed messing around in the water and sand - here is Kyle and Braden playing around ::
:: Our friends Grant & Jen also came up for the day on Saturday - here are their kids Lauren & Luke also playing in the sand ::
:: Our little mister enjoying the sand ::

:: Jacob & Daddy walking to the water to play with shovels, such boys! :: :: Madelyne enjoying the sun ::

:: What would a day out be without a self portrait!?!?! ::
:: Jacob splashing around ::
:: How cute, huh? ::
:: On Sunday Grammie & Grampy also came up to visit us at the lake, it was great to have them there to play! ::

:: Showers of Blessings ::

:: I hosted, along with Lisa's Aunty Cheryl a shower for her last Thursday (hence the fact that I haven't been on here!)...here is a picture of the bride (post treasure hunt @ the mall) ::
:: The room once Lisa arrived :: :: Lisa opening some gifts - me drooling over her stash! ::
:: The table full of treats - Cheryl did all the food, it was AMAZING! :: :: Lisa and one of her flower girls, Sydney :::: The sign I made with the help of Kristin's scrapbooking supplies ::
:: The room from the opposite end - I think we had about 45 people at the shower, it was such a great night full of food & fellowship! ::

:: Date Night ::

:: Paul and I went out on a date on Saturday night - We had a great time...it's been a long time since we have been out by ourselves and it felt SO good! ::
:: Here we are just before we left my parents place after we dropped Jacob off ::
:: Jacob & Grammie (& Tucker the dog in the background), just getting ready to wave bye-bye to us :: :: One more picture of us - you ca see more of the belly ::
:: My delish dinner - White Spots Chicken Mushroom burger - Yum Yum ::

:: Paul and his BC Burger - also very yummy but I'm not a Bacon 'n Cheese girl ::
:: After dinner we headed to Colossus (just across the street from the Spot) in Langley to watch the third Pirates of the Caribbean - just to find out that it was 3 hours long...but well worth it. While we were waiting for it to start Paul ran out of the theatre to get a Starbucks to ensure that he wouldn't fall asleep in the movie; as we wouldn't be getting out until 11:00! When we were sitting watching the movie he leaned over to me and said "it's just like we're dating again" I responded, "yeah but I wasn't pregnant and you didn't have to drink a coffee to stay awake!" ~ We both had an amazing night and once we returned to get Jacob we were welcomed by my brother and SIL, Christy as they had just arrived from the Island...a fabulous night all in all! ::

:: Mai's Bedroom for the next 2 weeks ::

:: We currently have a student named Mai (My) staying with us so she has occupied Jacob's "Big Boy" bedroom for the next two weeks.

:: Prior to her coming I tried to "girlify" it a little; this is how it turned out ::

:: Join me for my morning coffee :: :: Last night I hosted the "Happy Housewives" at our place...I (along with Lisa.B & Kristin's help) organized a card making night. There were 4 different stations and each person got to make 3 cards per station. I think it was a great success, everybody said they enjoyed themselves at least! ::
:: Here are some of my cards that I made ::

:: I also made Strawberry shortcake with frozen yogurt & whipping cream, and since I had some extra time in the afternoon I decided to dip some of the strawberries...mmm, so yummy! ::

:: In other news, I have a pile of dirt for a front yard...over the weekend Paul ordered up 5 yards of soil and then bought some fertilizer & seed to give us some new beautiful grass (hopefully it will grow quick with all the rain we have had and now the wonderful sunshine we get to enjoy through the end of the week!) ::

:: Here is my pretty little garden that I don't really get to enjoy since we are trying to grow grass...oh well, there is always next year :) ::
