:: Hey - one more thing here...I just thought I should post this recipe {currently my house smells amazing from this very "fall" comfort food dish} ::
:: I was raised eating this for Sunday lunch, as my Mom could stick it in the oven, turn the timer on in the oven and we'd come home from church lunch would be r-e-a-d-y! Aren't moms so smart! ::
:: It really is a stupidly easy recipe, but add a side dish of a veggie and dinner {or lunch} is done! ::
:: So here it is ::

{PS. I use any kind of "cream" soup I have in my pantry - it comes out just the same!}
CHICKEN & RICE CASSEROLE | |
Butter a shallow casserole dish. Put a cup of dry rice in. Lay chicken on top. Add one can of cream of celery soup mixed with one can of water. Sprinkle 1 package of Lipton onion soup mix over all. Cover and bake about 2 hours in oven at 350 degrees. Do not add any seasoning. |

I make one very similar!! its one of my favorites! The one I has is with Cream of mushroom soup, 2tablespoons of worshestire and with french fried onions mixed in..add some paprika on top and the rest of the frenchs fried onions when there is about three minutes left on the timer:) got to love comfort food! but i might have to try it with a cream of aspargus to mix it up!
I have made this but with mushroom soup - but I haven't made it for a LONG time...thanks for reminding me of the delish dish!
Think I'll give it a try next week!!
Yum, will try...in a couple weeks! Sounds good!
I think I've made something like this too... it was a Campbell's recipe. It adds veggies right to the casserole so you have the entire meal done and ready to go! :)
Love these easy, yummy recipes!
