:: Happy Mother's Day! ::

:: I had a great Mother's Day, we went to church and then off to Fort Langley for brunch with my Mom, Dad, Brother & SIL, then we stopped by to say a quick hello to my Grandma and then off to meet Paul's Mum, Dad, Nanny & Papa for coffee in Fleetwood. After all of that we came home and rested for a while then went over to M&L's for a wonderful dinner :: :: Happy Mother's Day Mom & Mum ~ I hope you felt loved and blessed by your children & grandchildren on Mother's Day. I know I did! ::
:: The boys bought me two hanging baskets, my Mom brought me some white orchids (one of my fav's) along with a Beth Moore devotional book, my Mother in Law gave me a personalized Starbucks card and a sampling of some tea from the Tea House. Paul bought me a subscription to "Coastal Living" which is one of my favorite Magazines ::
:: Side Note: Because I want some bedding plants I returned one of my hanging baskets and picked up some bedding plants. I'm looking forward to this rain stopping and planting those in our garden this weekend ::
:: While we were at brunch my little big boy was getting rambunctous so we headed outside so he could run around. He found this little putting green and went crazy over the little flags....I think he thought they were made just for him to play with. Ain't he cute!?!?! ::

:: { FABULOUS } Provision ::

:: All I can say, is GOD is good! I have been privileged enough to have been given a free (did ya get that...in case you didn't...FREE!) ticket to the Life Women Conference with Victory Christian Center :: :: Thanks to wonderful Stephanie from VCC - I get to have a whole two days of Spirit filled time away from the norm. What a great Mother's Day gift! ::
:: So if I'm not around these parts...I'm off having a bunch of fun-giggle-filled-girl-time! ::

:: Juicy News ::

:: I know it's been a long time coming...but I'm ready to expose my juicy news (ha ha, can you feel the drama?) ::

:: I have wanted to do something that I enjoy, something that is my own, something that doesn't involve my kids or hubby (no matter how wonderful they are!) ::

:: I try my best to do lots of things and to do them well...I wouldn't call myself a perfectionist but if I attempt to do something I will work at it until it is finished to my satisfaction ::

:: So in an effort to call something my own, I have gone through many options of the things I love to do that could possibly be a new business for me. Special event hair-do's, Family Photography, Cake-making etc. the list could go on of the things I love to do. Then there were the "pre-made" options like Pampered Chef, Stampin' Up etc. etc. However none of these things felt right ::

:: However one day a about 4 weeks ago a chance came across my path to do a new business venture and I couldn't pass it up. Being very nervous about starting this new venture on my own and balancing it between doing life with my growing family and everything that life entails, I really felt that God was giving me this opportunity and I had to take it ::

:: So I did it ::

:: I have started my own home business called Beauticontrol ::

:: It is a fabulous company that encourages Mom's to stay home, but also gives SAHM's the outlet to do something for themselves while they are giving into the lives of others and make a bit of money doing it ::

:: I ordered my first package of spa quality products and I have been using them for the past three weeks and I LOVE them. Now, If you know anything about me I'm not one to spend money on things like this....however, Beauticontrol has fabulous prices, with AMAZING products. Since the products are "Spa Quality" {think Spa Utopia} you have to use them very sparingly and hence they last that much longer. There are no fillers and the products are made in the USA {Texas to be exact, now isn't that just right up my alley!?!?} ::

:: So this is how it works...we don't have the time, money, even energy to get ourselves out the door to a Spa, so I bring the Spa to you. You gather the girls, I bring the products and we have a night full of pampering ~ How great is that? ::

:: It's a great thing to do with a few of your closest friends or your whole bible study group....it's relaxing, quiet {but could get potentially loud with a whole bunch of delirious, cackling, over-tired women!}, and most of all a time-out for you ::

:: I am so excited for this opportunity and cannot wait to share in a Spa night and these amazing products with you ::

:: If you want to check out the products you can click on my website here: http://www.beautipage.ca/shawnas-spa/index.asp ::

:: My all time favorite product of Beauticontrol is their Microderm Abrasion -- It's a fabulous product that makes your skin feel amazing let alone the obvious results of reducing the damage from the sun & scars! I cannot wait to sample it on more people (thanks to Paul, Matt & Lisa for letting me use it on you) ::

:: I will post updates on the newest products and product sales on my blog, but if it gets out of control I may start a new Beauticontrol Blog (let me know what you think of this idea)::

:: If any of you readers would love to take a chance on me and have me come into your home and "Spa" you for the night I would love to do it, please just leave a comment and I will be sure to get in touch with you ::

:: Thank you in advance for your support and encouragement with my new endeavour -- My goal from the get-go has been to bless other women and to see other women take a little time for themselves ::

:: Holy Blog Alert Batman! ::

:: I've just finished posting a swack of posts about what has been consuming our time for the last few weeks...I hope you enjoy them and please feel free to leave a comment (*I love comments*) ::

:: Cole's Dedication ::

:: Last Sunday we had the great opportunity to dedicate Cole to the Lord ::

:: We had a fabulous time with tons of family and friends celebrating this great occasion ::

:: Here is the dedication cake I made Cole, the silver cup he received from my Auntie Evie on the day after he was born, the inscription says "Jesus Loves Me" ::

:: Thank you to all of our family & friends for taking the time to share in this great day - We love you and so appreciate your support ::

:: The Zoo ::

:: Boy oh Boy -- You can tell I'm behind on blogging when it has been two weeks since we had been to the zoo and I'm just blogging about it now! ::

:: A couple weeks ago my girlfriend Tania called and wanted to know if we wanted to head out to the zoo -- I was fried. This call was on the Monday morning following the whirlwind trip to Seattle & Victoria...of course I said yes. Why stay at home in a "I'm-too-tired-to-think" mode when I could get outside and hang out with a friend and our kids ::

:: We had a fabulous time and if I had extra money to put into a 1 year pass to the zoo -- I would, it is a great place to go and I would highly recommend it! ::

:: The Island Celebration ::

:: Ahhhh - I just realized that I didn't post my typical "Happy Birthday" post for my brother Trevor....Sorry Trev! ::

:: I didn't post for him because we were on our way to the Island to visit him....we returned from Seattle around 11:30 pm on Saturday night and by 8:30 am Sunday morning we were packed up and driving to the ferry ::

:: We enjoyed a great day on the Island with Trevor, Christy, Christy's family and all of their friends ::

:: Happy Birthday Trevor (soon to be Trevor-the-daddy in mid July) - It was great to spend the day with y'all and celebrate you! ::

:: Seattle ::

:: A few weekends ago we headed down to Seattle to pick up my parents returning from Maui. We stayed at a fabulous hotel called, the Marriott Redmond Town Center. It was a whirlwind trip down, and after my parents plane was delayed and they got into the airport @ 5 am our day was pretty long. But all in all it was a great trip. We'll definitely need to do it again though! ::

:: Here are a few of the highlights of our trip ::

* Snow

* Spring Flowers

* Ruby's

* Macy's + Kohls

* Starbucks

* Time away from home

:: Sorry Y'all ::

:: I promised you some "juicy news" {okay, it's really not that juicy}. But life is going psycho...maybe it's me that's going psycho. That sounds more like it! ::
:: At any rate, I have now downloaded our pictures from our past few weeks full of adventure and will hopefully get on to blogging them tonight once I get back home from a meeting ::

:: I promise an update in photo's on here in the next 24 ::
:: Until then, have a great day and I pray the rain holds off. The cherry blossoms are out and it would be so unfortunate to see the rain turn them into a mushy mess ::
