:: Year 8 ::

:: Today marks the 8th year we have been married, has it really been 8 years!?!? It doesn't feel like it, however when I scan the years back in my mind, it does feel like it. In a good way though
::

:: Like many couples past the honeymoon stage, we've had many up's and downs, in's and out's {forgive the pun} and plenty more to look forward to ::

:: Paul is my man, he's mine and that's all that matters. I would never call him my prince, I have that place reserved in my heart for my Heavenly Father, however, he's my no. 1 next to Him. Paul knows me, sometimes better than I know myself. He's where I find home, and that's an amazing feeling ::

:: Today and always I love you...in the everydayness of life. I still love you, but it's because it's with you that makes it special ::

:: LoveYouBabe ::

:: We were downtown this past weekend to celebrate with a spa date, sleepover downtown, dinner out, shopping and some extra little surprises as well. But before we headed downtown we had a photo shoot with the terribly talented Miss. Jamie Delaine. You can see the photos she captured here on her blog - thanks again Auntie Jamie! You're fabulous! ::

Ps. I have so much to catch up on, it's a little overwhelming! But I will get to it eventually, so stay tuned!

:: WIWW ::

I will be posting a "What I Wore Wednesday" edition today, but my photos are on Mr. L's computer and he's currently in Kelowna, so when he gets home tonight and I have a moment...I'll post them {as sad as they may be!}

:: This is all I's got! Honestly I thought I had more photos - obviously not! Ha! ::

:: so here is the out fit I wore on our drive to the wedding - Top: Target, Jeans: Hand-me-down (thanks Lise!), Shoes: Target ::

:: Here we go again ::

:: Tomorrow is the first day of school for us, it's Cole's turn this time...ohhh, this Mama's heart is going to break, I'm sure! Sending my "baby" off to school, it can't be this time already!?!?! He and I had a little cry about it today, I was tearing up and the sweet little guy did too, did this Mama's heart good ;) ::

:: JJ's first day is Friday, this is going to be a great year for him and yet I'm sad that this is his last year in preschool. It'll be so good for him and yet I can't believe that he's 4 and seems so grown up! ::

:: So that's what we're up to today, preparing to get these boy off to school in proper fashion! Hope y'all are having a great afternoon and getting into the whole school thing again! ::

:: L&L Wed ::

:: This past Saturday Mr. L & I had the pleasure of joining with my Dad's side of the family for my second cousins wedding {my cousin is the bride}, her Mom is my first cousin...confused yet ;) ::

:: Okay, on to the photos {click on photos for a closer look}...here is the groom with his Dad {a Southern Minister...he had the greatest accent!} along with some of his best men and the flower girls, one of which is my third cousin...sweet Rachel ::

:: Mother of the Bride {my cousin} and Mother of the Groom - both were stunning and looked far too young to be marrying off their children! ::

:: Enter the bride & her Daddy {Also a Minister} ::

:: Giving Away or Joining Together, both vital times in both the parents and couples lives ::

:: There is nothing really special about this photo, I just like it. In it are my three cousins from my Uncle Roger & Aunty Vicki, Pam {Mother of the Bride}, Cheryl {Aunty to the Bride} & Lyle {Uncle to the Bride and father of the two ring bearers and one of the flower girls} ::

:: Signing to make it all official & his parents watching on ::

:: My Uncle {also a Minister, see a pattern here!?!!?} charged the couple and blessed their marriage ::

:: The Cake ::

:: The Bridal Party..and apparently it could have been even bigger! These people are well loved and love large! ::

:: EDITED TO SAY :: My most favorite line of the day was when my cousin Jordan {brother of the bride & MC (featured in photo above second from left at the back)} stated in his welcome to the guest that my Grandma {his Great Grandma} couldn't be in attendance so he said he wanted to make sure to make a `Shout Out to Grandma Rosie` - seriously made me die! Jord, you did a fabulous job as Master of Ceremonies - So there is a shout out to you ;) Ps. you need to update your blog...it`s seriously out of date :P ::

:: Here is the whole McC family that was able to attend the wedding ::

:: Here are two of my cousin Lyle's kids that Mr. L captured, so cute eh? ::

:: Cutting of the cake, sorry about your heads L&L, I had to grab the shot while I had others standing around me, thought it was cute enough to post though ;) ::

:: Port Townsend 2010 ::

:: We had a fabulous weekend {HA!} in Port Townsend, WA...It took a long time to get there. We had a lot of fun, but oh, we had a ton of trouble! ::

:: I'll leave you the pictures, they speak a thousand words, but remember - pictures don't even give you a good view of what problems we had! {I'll be back with more on that story and how God took care of us later...ugh, it was a crazy weekend!}::

:: We enjoyed lots of walks ::

:: The ferry ride, there and back ::

:: Treats ::

:: Seashore ::

:: and of course lounging around the motor home! ::

:: Hope you're having a great weekend...I'll be back soon with more on our trip! ::

:: Things I'm Loving {or not!} ::

:: Things I'm loving right now...here are just a few ::

:: SEPTEMBER!!! I can't say it enough as to how much I love September, it's my most favorite month and I just wake up in a better mood knowing that it's September. I love the crisp cool air, the shadows that the sun makes with the trees, the leaves that have already started to litter the street and of course Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes. Ahhh, September, I'm glad you're here! ::

:: Here's a little sneak peek of a project I've been working on this week. More on this later ;) ::

:: Something I'm not loving, my hair...here is a current picture of me {this was taken on our annual trip to Port Townsend}. I mean I don't mind my hair, it's just the length...what are your thoughts, is it too long? We're heading to Hawaii {YAY} in one month and I'm not sure if I want to keep it this length or shorten it up by a few inches {by a few I mean 3} --- Any input is VERY welcome! ::

:: I am loving our pumpkin patch at the side of the house, the flowers are pretty - just hope we'll see the pumpkins at the end of October! ::

:: That's all for tonight, hoping to get caught up on some blogging before the new school year starts up! I'm feeling so behind on blogging and I don't want to start the new school year off behind as I keep this for our family memories {scrapbook}! ::

:: We've got a family wedding this weekend as well as getting some things to be done around the house, before we know it we'll be heading out the door to Hawaii and Fall will be in full swing! ::

:: Happy Long Weekend Lovelies! ::

8.23.2010

:: Update ::

:: Well, in my desire & quest to have the coveted TB flip flops, I {er, Mr. L} reminded me that probably spending $150+ on a pair of flip flops was not really practical - ugh, shucks! ::

:: But thanks to Kori --- I found these puppies, and I'm in love! Best of all they were 50% off the original price, so a steal at $15 and the perfect flip flop for Hawaii! ::

:: In other news, I took Cole to the X-Ray clinic this morning to have his chest looked at. I haven't heard anything from our doctor yet, but hope to hear something first thing tomorrow morning. Since he wasn't responding to treating his fever with Tylenol we decided we should probably give him the antibiotic and thankfully he has responded well and has not had a fever today. So we're praying for a great report tomorrow from our doctor --- and I'm praying for my niece too, she was sick
yesterday and had a fun ride in the ambulance for a brief stay at the hospital - boo! ::

:: In other total random news, Pleated Poppy hosts a fun linky party on her blog called WIWW {what I wore wednesday}, it's so much fun to see what other blogger girls are wearing...so I tried some shots of myself today, here's what I wore today ::

:: I totally forgot how much I love fashion and the assembly of an outfit...so WIWW has really made me think more into what I wear and what I love! ::

:: Details of my outfit are as follows ::
White Tank - ON
Yellow Tunic - WalMart
White Jeans - Joe RCSS
White Penny Loafers - Bass, purchased online

:: Hope y'all had a great Monday, I'm off to finish putting away the laundry and then hit the sack! ::

8.22.2010

:: Around here.. ::

:: We've got a sick little boy ::

:: He's had a fever for 5 days now, hovering around 101.5 -- It will break for an hour or so and then spike back up. So, when I was up all night with him and he finally fell asleep at 6 am so did I ::

:: We had decided that if he woke up one more morning with a temperature then he would be taken to the doctors office ::

:: So off I went this morning with the littlest big boy to our doctors office. We have a couple great family doctors that work out of the same clinic. I was sad to be missing church this morning so when I walked into the office and they were playing our local Christian radio station, it was just one reminder of why we love our doctors so much! ::

:: The doctor said that there is definitely something wrong with our baby, the doctor says it could be silent pneumonia, or bronchitis or another virus that is going around. So we have an antibiotic prescription on hold for us if we need it and we also have an x-ray set up for tomorrow morning. I'm praying he starts getting better as we're supposed to be on our annual family vacation to Port Townsend this week! ::

:: I hope y'all are having a great weekend and enjoying one of the last weekends of the Summer! I'm off to can some fresh peaches I picked up at our local farm market yesterday! ::
