:: Digger Digger Digger ::

:: A couple of weeks ago {yes, this is how far behind I am on posting!} we had an "inside day" ::

:: Our February weather was not conducive to having my little big boy go outside to play with his diggers, so out came the rice and a baking sheet a voila! A digger's Paradise & a little big boys entertainment for hours ::

:: Thank you Lord, for rice, diggers & imaginations! ::

:: I can't believe it! ::

:: I'm sitting here while my two little babes are napping & I'm filling out preschool forms, seriously, my babe is going to preschool in September! ::

:: This whole "school" process has ran up and bit me in the butt! You would think since I've taught in classrooms and been around school for most of my 28 years that I would have thought a little more about the fact that sooner or later I must register my little big boy into school!?!? Nope, not me, not a once! ::

:: None of the process terrifies me, it's just so foreign to be signing MY child up for it! ::

:: At any rate we will begin the rat race this September of the good 'ol "school days" and probably throw some speech therapy in there for good measure. Jacob knows his words, he's just choosing not to use them. This is annoying and frustrating for this Mama, so yesterday we went to the doctor and received a referral for a speech therapist. It's good, I've been told to start earlier than later, so here we go! ::

:: This process has definitely absorbed a good portion of our energy and brains in the last 72 hours, deciding where they (because they'll be one year after the next) will go to preschool, elementary school etc etc etc. We (even though we are Christians) don't think that going to a Christian school is the only way to go, so we are looking into all options and I think we have decided to go with the Traditional route. Yes, it'll be a drive for me but so would any school that we take the boys too! ::

:: I'm off to read over and finish filling out these forms - Happy (totally crazy) Tuesday People! My kid is going to preschool - Yikes! ::

:: Ps. My son got the last spot in the morning class - Glory Glory, someone was taking care of us! ::

:: Quite Pathetic! ::

:: This blog that is! All I have written about in the past three weeks (or more!) has been The Bachelor, although it is a totally fun topic ~ it is not what this blog is based on! ::

:: So, this is to let you know that I will be back in full blogging force and lots of yummy updates..well, maybe not yummy but an update non the less! ::

:: Here are a few things we have been busy doing: Going on a trip to Whistler with Paul's fam, updating my site, taking children to doctors appointments, going to get dental surgery for myself, baking up a storm, planning our spring conference & eating healthy (I'm on a very restricted diet) - besides all these things I have blogged, I just haven't taken the time to edit and post them. But I promise they will be coming soon! ::

:: The Bachelor - Week 7 ::

:: Oh meeee, oh myyyy! ::

:: What a full episode last night! ::

:: So Mr. Jason had his three dates fly to New Zealand to have his overnight dates with them. They were all amazing dates {not to mention that he ended up in the hot tub with each of them!} ::

:: Jillian was first up and they had a fabulously steamy date - however you could tell that he wasn't quite there with her, it seemed as though his mind was travelling ::

:: Molly and him also had a great date, less physical {from what they showed us} but still a great date of getting to know each other. She ended up having a list of almost 20 questions to ask him...just in case they end up engaged and she doesn't know his favorite ice cream!?!? ::

:: Melissa, oh Melissa...their electricity is overwhelming! They are so powerful together and the passion he feels for her is SO evident! She's real and candid and she needs him - he loves her ::

:: So it's sad but true but Jillian was not given a rose last night...yes I know, she was the one that I thought would be through until the end ::

:: This is what I think: Jason loved Jillian and he could totally make a relationship work with her. However, she doesn't NEED him, she lives a full satisfying life with our without a man {Go Canadian Girl!}. Jason loves that Melissa NEEDS him, he can be her comfort ::

:: So here's my theory: Jason wanted to love Jillian as much as he loves Melissa, but it wasn't there. But Jason doesn't love Molly as much as he loves Jillian. So to make it easy on himself and take away the distraction {Jillian} he decided to not give her a rose, to keep Molly as he knows that she is third place and he can then focus more of his energy on Melissa. You got me? If you notice after he said good-bye to Jillian he went back to Molly & Melissa and he spoke about the future and them meeting his family & Ty next week - but that whole time he was ignoring Molly and speaking directly to Melissa {it's so obvious now} ::

:: Good-bye Jillian, hope you had a great time and I hope that you will find someone who loves your independence and direction, you TRULY deserve it! ::

{Seriously, could she be ANY cuter!?!?! }

:: Ps. Do you think that Jillian will be the next bachelorette? I don't think so, I think she's too strong for that..however you never know! ::

:: The Bachelor - Week 6 ::

:: Okay, so didn't we all know what was going to happen this week? Geesh, they give enough build up and sneak peaks it almost gives the episode away! ::

:: So Jillian's family is delightful, honest, true to themselves, not proud and showy, just loving and real -- By far my family pick is them. Maybe because I'm Canadian, and thus I relate to them better, I'm not sure. He loves her like a good friend and wants to kiss her but I don't think that it's all there, he doesn't have his guard down with her {not like with Melissa} ::
:: Molly was up next in her lovely country club get-up, I see the spark between them but it's purely physical in my opinion. Jason also alluded to that as well, that there was just something that he felt that Molly wasn't telling him or letting him in on {he's a smart man} - nothing too earth shattering happened on their date, it was a good date, her family is normal but there is definitely a missing link in the relationship ::
:: Naomi's family was quite the schmozzle of a family. Now I must have missed something, I'm sure that her parents have to be divorced as her father is a very committed Christian and her mother is sure she knows Jason from a previous life and that they are in the same "soul family" - Good Golly! Naomi was cool through the hula-hooping and the dove burial but {so not surprised} she didn't get a rose. He said it was because they weren't in the same place, not because of her family {ha!}. She was upset but maintained her composure and left gracefully :::: Lastly was Melissa, her parents are very private people and thus didn't want to be on camera when the show came to her home town. That was a tough situation in itself not to add that Jason prodded when he was around her best girls about what her family was like and they had no idea! One of her girlfriends had met her mom briefly and couldn't even recall her dad. It's obvious that this worries Jason, how do your best buds not know your family at all?!!? But boy is there a connection between them, really a great connection. She is level & lovely. I'm still thinking that she's his and he is hers :::: And next week they are on vacation and have the infamous one on one overnight dates! And maybe Deanna returns, I'm not sure if it's going to be next week though, I think they might make us wait one more week after next weeks...we shall see! ::

:: Sorry about my lack of posting around here, I have been on a lifestyle change diet and it has completely wiped me out ::

:: I have had to slow down and pace myself on so many levels that I just don't have time {energy} to post. Hopefully this will all correct itself in the next few days ::

:: For now though I'm going to give you a link to a bunch of great sites that I browse through and love to visit ::

:: The Bachelor - Week 5 ::

:: The remaining 5 at the start of the show after just arriving in Seattle ::

:: What a great week...but it felt like it was a bit of filler to me, it seems like a really long process for him to eliminate the girls that I already know are not the best for him! Ha Ha! Well, it is good that he is SO thoughtful about his choices, it makes the girls know that he's not just in it for the ahem! ::
-
:: I love that he is not afraid to single individual girls out and ask them questions about their expectations and thoughts on being in a relationship with him...he seems so real that way! ::

:: Okay so on to what happened this week. Well the girls {& Jason of course} packed their bags and headed to the beautiful city of Seattle, in the Fall non the less - how amazing are those trees, mountains and water! Oh, what a treat! ::

:: Right, back to the recap. So the girls get put up in a super classy hotel and get to enjoy the benefits of being in Jason's home town. Off the bat, Melissa gets the first one on one date night with Jason, oy vey was Naomi jealous {she has yet to have a one on one date with Jason}! ::

:: Melissa & Jason were supposed to be going out on the town in a oohh la la car and all the works, that ended up getting a wrench in it as Ty {Jason's Son} didn't want daddy to go out. So Jason invited Melissa over and they had a date night in. Melissa was so cool about it and asked if she could wear her stretchy pants to the date instead of her dress, they ended up to be stretchy short-shorts - but who cares!?!?! To say the least they had a great date and Melissa was the envy of all the other girls as she would probably get to meet Ty. She didn't. Jason wasn't ready for that. He did however let her sneak a peek at Ty sleeping - it was all very sweet ::

:: Next up was the group date that included these three :::: They went on a boat cruise through the harbour and enjoyed the sights of Seattle's skyline. Jason singled Stephanie out and took her up to the captains quarters to steer the boat. They reminisced about their last one on one date and about Sophia {Stephanie's daughter}. They didn't kiss..or did they, no I don't think they did. They had a good talk and it made me hope that maybe there was hope for Stephanie, but from the start of this episode I didn't think she would last ::

:: After the boat cruise they head to kiss.fm recording studios so they can be interviewed live on air. Jason got put through the ringer but held up well and even aced a blindfolded kissing test on all the girls! ::

:: In the interview Jason said that his favorite date was with Stephanie {obviously this guy is full of heart} and the best kisser was Molly {ugh} ::

:: So the group date ended well however...he was feeling a little unsettled about his relationship with Jillian...life went on and he went on another one on one date, this time with Naomi ::

:: Things went great on his date with Naomi, obviously he finds her attractive or else she wouldn't still be here. They went up in a helicopter then proceeded to a rock climbing wall were they had a little date at the top of the rock wall. Then they ended their date with fondue in front of a fire. It was romantic but there didn't seem {to me} to be sparks other then the ones coming from the fire. Apparently he felt differently, he kissed the girl {ugh} ::

:: Then the morning of the rose ceremony Jason arrives at the girls suite {unannounced} and asks to take Jillian out for coffee. He asks of her intentions and wants to know whats up with her as she's been the rock to all the girls and he's not sure if he's seeing the "real" Jillian. She needs to up her game, but as discussed earlier in the show {on the group date}, Jillian didn't realize that she may actually end up having feelings with Jason, so they have caught her off guard. I {and hopefully he} still think she's a keeper. They kissed and loved on each other for a while, I think it was good for both of them ::

:: Upon arriving at the rose ceremony, Jason asked to pull Naomi aside to make sure her intentions with him and expectations were right and true. She said they were {humph} and so he ended up giving roses to these girls: Jillian, Melissa, Molly {go home!} & Naomi. So that left Stephanie, oh so Southern and gracious Stephanie. She was the epitome of grace and woman in that ceremony and Jason was the essence of integral man ::

:: He kept all the girls there while he {tearfully} spoke to Stephanie and told her how wonderful she was and she deserved the very best and that she was an AMAZING woman. I agree with him, but she's just not right for him ::

:: So there you go, next week is a big one - it's the hometown dates & those episodes hold many many great surprises! Like Mom & Dad's that won't be on camera, Mom's who ask Jason to do the eulogy for a dead dove etc. ect. It'll be a great one girls! ::

:: The Bachelor - Week 4 ::

:: Okay girls, well this was quite the week! Holy Moly! Emotions were in high gear to say the least! ::

:: Mr. Jason had three dates ::
#1 - One on One date with Molly = Overnight camp out in his tent, she got a rose
#2 - Group date to the set of General Hospital where he kissed & kissed & kissed, poor girls just had to stand there and watch!
#3 - Two on One Date with Stephanie & Nikki - Nikki went home, it was time but it was SO sad!

:: Nikki {one of my initial picks} went home last night - he picked Stephanie over her, I think that was wise, on the level of "togetherness" {if that's such a word?!?!?} Stephanie definitely has that one in her corner, Nikki not so much....but she would make a really good next bachelorette...so Stephanie, Sweet, Southern Stephanie is still in the running, but I think she'll be going home next week :::: Jillian was in the background last night, not out and making herself known, I think this is a good thing in some ways, but I also think that the attraction between them may be weaning a bit ::
:: Naomi, Lord only knows why he kept her; I really see no chemistry between them. But she is a better pick than all three of the girls that went home, so I understand his reasoning. I think she will be going home next week ::
:: Molly, Molly, Molly, she stayed overnight @ Jason's place and came home just as the other girls were getting up, and she was in his comfy clothes...I want her to leave, just don't think she's the perfect match for him. Apparently my opinion doesn't count, she got a rose - surprise! ::
:: Melissa, I would say that Melissa is the best combination of all the good things he wants in his life, light-hearted with enough emotion {but not too much}, wise, open, sincere, caring, beautiful {hello!} and just all around nice girl :::: Now how fabulous was it that he got to break the rules and send these three running home? ::
:: So what did you think? And when do you think Deanna is coming back?!?! It is such a great season, I don't know why I love it so much I just do! Can't wait for next week! ::

1.26.2009

:: I'm Here, really I am! ::

:: Hey there Girls! I'm here, I really am, I'm just busy with the everyday stuff ::

:: You may also find I have a ASAQD and if you don't know what that is then you just haven't lived!!! {just kidding!} ::
